FILMING practice
We had a chance to do some practice filming around school and get familiar with camera shots to decide which ones would be suitable to use in our horror sequence. We decided to film on and behind the stage as the low key lighting made it seem scary and looked like the typical place for a bad thing to take place. We used some classic horror techniques whilst filming to decide what was effective and what could be used for our final piece, such as a fake strangling scene, the 360 degree pan shot and a close up of fear. These are the main shots that create a good and convincing killing scene in a horror film. T.D
From being able to have a practice go at filming a horror we were able to get an idea of shots, lighting and sound preferences that we would like to use for our official sequence.
