location
We have chosen to film our opening title sequence at St. Margaret's care home along London Road in Gloucester and the park opposite that contains ruins of an old building. It is effective for our choice of genre as it gives a spooky atmosphere due to the old decorative style. Also, the ruins in the park are effective as they once again create a scary atmosphere, as if there is some unknown history in these old ruins.

lighting
The location we have chosen to film in has effected the type of lighting we use. As we will be filming in the dark, the only source of light will be from the street lights. When doing close up shots we'll either use a flash light or torch so it's clear to see what's going on in the shot.

sound
We have chosen to use a voice over, which is our killer singing rhyme that we created, in the majority of our opening sequence as we thought it would be a good way to set the mood in out opening title sequence. The lyrics are "1, 2, I'm coming for you. 3, 4, there's blood and gore. 5, 6, I play my tricks. 7, 8, they can't escape. 9, 10, and I've killed again". In the shots showing the flashbacks of Cassie, there is screaming from the victims to show their fear. There is dialogue from the characters in our horror. When the name of our horror appears in the title sequence, there is screaming and a fuzzy noise to add tension.

PROPS
Our main prop when filming our opening title sequence was fake blood, which was made out of golden syrup, cocoa powder and red food colouring. The blood was made with these ingredients as it looks believable and we were able to consume it. We also used a hospital gown that Talitha (our killer) wore as she had just escaped from mental asylum and it fitted with our storyline. We also used a mobile phone when filming as this fitted with our storyboard and also makes our opening sequence look more realistic and also can relate to the audience as mobile phones are key item used in every day life. We also used a pair of scissors as our weapon used by our killer, as they looked realistic and it fitted well with our story. We were going to use a knife as the weapon but we couldnt make it look realistic enough without using a real knife and as we filmed outside we couldn't take a real knife out with us.
