Inspiration
When deciding which sub gere of horror to base our opening sequence on, our first thought was to create something similar to the film 'Jennifer's Body' as we liked the idea of a teenage girl turning into a psycho. We also liked the gore and violence in the film and we tried to include this. Although we liked the killer being a physco we thought that we would put a twist on our opening title sequence and the teenage girl was actually innocent but was framed as the killer and this turned her mental and into a physco.
We also liked the idea of the two girls being very close friends in the film and so we used this idea but instead of being two girl best friends we used a girl and a boy being close friends.

We also got inspired by the film the ring, as we liked the killer being a female instead of a male. We also like the build up of tension in the ring and the use of sound that does this. We tried to create a similar effect by adding scary and frightening music similar to the ring at points in the film where tension builds.
Another inspiration to our opening title sequence is the Last Exorcism as the film also has a female killer and throughout the film the killer becomes more and more physcotic. We liked the idea of our killer starting off innocent and then becoming a psycho like in the film. We also liked the use of blood and like the image we liked the night gown dripping with blood as the night gown is white and suggest innocence when actually the blood suggest murder and torture.
We also got inspiration from the film woman in black as we liked the setting in the old spooky manor house and we wanted to create a similar setting to go with our opening title sequence.
