TITLE ANALYSIS
The way the title of 'Dexter' has been designed is very effective because it is simplistic and not too overpowering. The font is not a childish typical horror font, therefore, it appears more professional and sophisticated, which is what we think is necessary for a film to be successful. The colour red reflects the blood throughout the scenes, representing a typical horror film. We thought this was effective, because people are already given the impression that it is a horror film, which is why we chose to make the colour of our main title 'Crazed' red. Making it red, similar to 'Dexter', made it more effective, as the rest of our titles were white.

The title 'Saw' is effective, as the font looks gruesome and gives similarities of a dead body which is left to rot, this gives us connations of decaying and hints to us that the film is going to full of gore. The 'w' in saw looks like a pitch fork which is a dangerous weapon used to kill in a brutal way therefore reflecting the film which is a slasher and uses violent weapons.

This title is effective as the word 'SCREAM' appears twice possibly showing a double personality of the killer. We decided this looked unique so we also used a font style that appeared twice and this reflected our storyline because our killer has a split personality. The font is used in a bold red colour which represents the typical horror convention of blood.

We also liked the title from the ring as we thought it was simple yet very effective. The use of the colour black is used well as it suggest the unknown and the darkness which is what the film is about. Although we liked this title we wanted to use the colour red as our opening title sequence contains blood and this suggest the film is violent, but the film the ring does not contain blood and is more of a paronormal film.
